"Little" Red

The Callaway Diablo 3 wood is exactly what I was looking for to round out my set. First it's an absolutely gorgeous club (black head with deep red shaft makes it look mean). Looks aside it feels great in my hands. The grip is excellent. I'm using the 15 degree loft with regular flex shaft version (left handed). The head has a slightly lower profile than some other woods which enables it to really get under the ball and launch it. Very light weight but it's substantial enough to feel the force of the impact. great club and got it used for a steal!! great condition too. received it in just 2days. im hitting the ball 300yd and straight. i've heard people complain about their slice using this club(but maybe its the player and not the club?) i got the x460 w/ 10deg loft and stiff flex. You gotta get it!!!

This putter is amazing! I usually shot in the low 90's to high 80's before I got this putter. I'm not one to always land near the stick so at times I'm put myself in those situations where I need to make a long put. My mechanics would break down when I put more effort into my swing. This heavier type of putter allows me to maintain my regular swing and let the extra weight do the work. I love putting now! I was nailing anything within 10ft and my long puts became tap in's. He loves the irons and the seller was very helpful in re routing the shipment as there was a mistake in it's destination.

I love these clubs!

I took up golf about 2 and a half years ago. At the time I did not know much about what to look for in clubs. I am taller (5'7") so I figured I would get a set of cheap RAM men's clubs to start out. My thinking was that practicing with the same set of clubs will add consistency to my game. And this was partly true. I definitely got some wear and tear out of my RAM clubs.



Since I still love the game I finally decided that I wanted to invest in a nicer set of clubs. I went to a pro shop and got measured. The man who ended up helping me suggested I try women's clubs. So I tried a few different brands and immediately fell in love with Callaway. The slightly shorter club (I figured out that men's clubs are too long for me) plus the technology that Callaway uses made every shot feel effortless. The only problem was the price tag. Most higher end golf club brands sell mostly iron sets. Then you have to invest in drivers and a putter yourself. Callaway irons for women run around $500+ add on to it $200 per driver plus a putter and things start to add up.



So I searched the internet and found Callaway's latest GEM set. I think I can confidently say that for women there is not a better deal on the market. You get a COMPLETE set of Callaway golf clubs for about $600 bucks. And don't think that you're getting less than stellar clubs either. Yes there are only 8 clubs plus a putter. But here's the thing: if they're the right clubs that's all women NEED. With my RAM set I NEVER used my 4 or 5 iron when playing. They don't give a lot of lift (like I would opt for the 6 on a fairway) and I can hit much farther just using my 5 wood off a tee. This set basically strips away all the superfluous clubs and gives women the ones that they will actually play with. I took this set out to play for the first time today and I used every single club. A first in my playing history.



So I highly recommend this set. Obviously if you are a professional you would have different requirements. But if you are like me and you're just a novice-intermediate player who enjoys the game get this set of clubs.



One more side note: my only qualm about buying these clubs was that they only come in that blue color. I'm not a very "frilly" person and I was worried that they might be a little too baby blue looking. But they're not. The clubs are a beautiful darker blue and the case looks like more of a true blue in real life compared to how it's photographed.More detail ...

WOW!! What a great set of clubs

I have not played golf in 39 years and now living in a retirement city I thought this might be a time to restart. Since a new set of clubs were needed it seemed Amazon was the place to start looking. When I ran across the Texan Power 2 set and read the description that looked to be the set to get. The offer of all graphite shafts at the price stated was unbelievable. When I received the clubs everything was packed well and in excellent shape. The next step was the driving range. With the over sized heads these clubs are very forgiving; what a difference from four decades ago!!! I still cannot believe the quality the long hitting ability of these clubs for the priced charged. To anyone else looking for a fabulous entry or reentery set hurry and get these ordered!!!

Not bad for someone who's starting out

Bought these clubs for my wife who decided to try out golf for the first time just recently. For the money they're really not that bad especially when you consider some of my individual clubs cost more than the entire set. She's left handed and I'm right handed so I don't really know how they perform versus name brand gear but again for someone who's trying out the game for the first time they're perfectly functional. The only problem was that the head of the 9-iron started to come off after a few swings; all of the other clubs are fine after a fair amount of use so I'm guessing it was just an isolated defect and not a systematic problem with the way the clubs are designed or manufactured (and honestly I'm not really concerned about longevity that much since if my wife ends up playing a lot I'll buy her a much nicer set). Golf Outlets sent us a replacement club free of charge after e-mailed them a few pictures of the broken club so it really wasn't that big of a deal.More detail ...
